3D Printing Range of Motion

— 3D Printing The Act of Dressing 

An exploration in translating gesture data into physical objects. By focusing on the act of dressing, data was collected to create a 3D printed object -- a pair of earrings. The process used Rhino, Grasshopper, Arudino accelormeter, the makerBot Replica 2.

Motion Tracking 

First, the data was captured as a CSV file and placed in Grasshopper. The data was then designed in the form of blob-like earrings. Each data point represents the position of the person's arm while wearing the jacket.
